Edition #540
Buzz in the group chats, measurement stories and audience networks are in vogue for AI?
Amongst the group texts, were a couple of things this week, Buzz from Jack Dorsey, an open source workspace, think Slack + AI. See a video here.
Think of Buzz like a digital deskpad, you have your work in there, and bring in your agents where they’re needed. Animated profile pic is kind of fun.
The other in the chats was Slate, a voice journal, that leverages on device AI from Apple, meaning your data never leaves the device. This will be a huge trend, AI coming into your apps, but held on device.
I want to give a shout to friend Richard MacManus newsletter, he’s going deep in how the agentic web is built and formed. Readers may remember him as the founder of ReadWriteWeb!
Two nuggets, Apple appears to be readying for an audience network. As is OpenAI. I wonder, if content deals with publishers is an additional driving force for this.

Smartest commentary
- “I don’t think fandom is formed in these big sexy campaign moments. This is when awareness happens. The hard work of driving fandom comes with the consistency of being in-market, talking to these fans in a personalized way, serving up content about things they actually care about and want to interact with, day in, day out, week in, week out.” –Radhika Duggal, CMO, MLS.
